    Abhijit Ganguly will discuss five factors—market, economic, regulatory, cultural, and internal (MERCI)—that companies must focus on when expanding innovative new businesses into new markets.


    Join us for "RTM: In Their Own Words," on Friday, March 1st at noon EST, for a conversation about the challenges multinational companies often face when they attempt to expand innovative new businesses developed in one market into other markets. Direct transfer doesn't work for many reasons. Drawing on Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company's experience expanding three businesses from the commercial trucking sector into new markets, Abhijit will talk about five crucial factors—MERCI—that companies must consider and mitigate in their expansion efforts. He will highlight challenges Goodyear's market expansions encountered and how the company addressed them.
