Manufacturing Institute Programs
MI Advocacy - The Institute leads the workforce and education policy for the NAM community to encourage programs that will align manufacturers’ needs with workforce training and educational priorities and goals.
Second Chance Hiring - The Second Chance initiative addresses barriers to employment and lack of opportunities for people with criminal records by helping manufacturers navigate second chance hiring.

Student Engagement Programs - The MI provides manufacturers with the tools, resources and expertise they need to engage students in their local communities to raise awareness about manufacturing, positively shift perceptions, and help students connect their interests, aptitudes and classroom education to fulfilling careers in industry.


Research - The Center for Manufacturing Research closely examines issues of importance to manufacturers – both to help understand them and illuminate what needs to be done to solve them.

Solution Series - The MI’s Solution Series will be a results-oriented workshop for an exclusive group of manufacturing leaders and will equip you with real action items for specific topics addressing workforce challenges manufacturers are facing.

Veterans - Heroes MAKE America is our initiative to facilitate connections between the military and manufacturing. Our signature program provides transitioning Service members, veterans and military spouses with the skills and certifications to find and excel in careers in manufacturing.
